I hope someone photoshops this for you...but IMHO I think dark blue would look good with the white shutters. I would paint the overhang (assuming you are talking about the soffits) white also.

I am really hoping someone photoshops it for me too! Now the front of the house is like a cedar wood, but the back and sides is all aluminum. We know we will paint the wood in front because it is in very good condition. But should we paint the aluminum or get vinyl?

if the aluminum is in good shape...
why change it to vinyl?
painting it would suffice IMO.

you'll have plenty of places to spend
the money you'll save by painting
instead of changing.
