Exterior Remodel Help Needed

Daughter is buying this 1956 lake home. Find it strange that there is not a front window, but can't have one put in due to that wall being the wall that the bathroom vanity is on. So what could be done to visually make this home look nicer? By the way she loves the craftsman look...not sure if that would be a huge stretch though on this home. Opinions
