We just finished remodeling our kitchen in a Chicago condominium with much help from lurking on this forum. There is no window in the kitchen - and the white makes the room seems much larger than the wood cabinets we had before.

We used White Velvet Quartzite, Brookhaven cabinets & kept our hardwood floors. The appliances we chose were Subzero French Door refrigerator, Wolf wall oven, Thermadoor Cooktop, GE Advantium, GE dishwasher. We are quiet happy with all - and happy to respond/help with others considering any of the aforementioned.
