Leaded glass is only a potential problem if you store your brandy in a crystal decanter for a long time. Don't worry!

(And I don't think inspectors ever check for lead anyway--I've had to check a box saying I understand that old homes may have lead and I've had to check a box that says my house is old and may have had renovations done disturbing lead, but it's nothing to worry about.)

While home inspectors do not always actually test for lead/asbestos, they should include in their report there is a possibility of lead or asbestos being present due to the age of the house/door/window/whatever.

Leaded paint is not a hazard unless it is eaten(small children tend to put everything in their mouths) or the paint is sanded/wire brushed, causing the paint to dust and be inhaled.

One accepted way to protect from lead paint contamination is to simply paint over it.

Leaded glass in a door is no problem at all.
