How Much to Install Electric Box and Chandelier

I want to add a chandelier over the dining table, but there is no cut out right now for electrical thats existing. I do have attic access to walk to, and in the same ceiling there is recessed lighting already in place.

If I want an electrician to install electric to hang the chandelier, add a light switch, and install the chandelier, how much should I be looking at in price?

Call an electrician and get an estimate, it is free.

Depending on where you live, if the light wattage is low enough to be added to the existing circuit, and how large/heavy the light fixture is----between $200 and $500.

If the light power requirements are too high to be added, the cost goes way up, since a new circuit will need to be added.
