| I am getting rid of a doorway and making it wall.
I took out the door jamb without any damage inside or out but cant get the metal edging that wraps around the edge of the stucco. Do I break away the stucco to get it out? The metal edging is nailed to the wood 2X4's in the wall. |

| I break the stucco back and remove the mil-core. Then lap the new lath under the old lath, folding the old paper under to achieve a wire to wire lap. This serves to lessen the joint cracking because the existing lath is "tempered" by the previously applied stucco products. |
