| Hi
I’m helping a friend tile the top of a bathroom vanity and I have a few quick questions about this project. The countertop will be 30" x 18" with a vessel sink and glass mosaic tiles. I was wondering about the substrate for the tile. I was planning to use a 3/4" plywood base with cement board on top of it or can I use 1/2"plywood? Can the cement board be 1/4 inch or does it need to be thicker for this size of countertop? Also can I just screw the cement board to the plywood or do I also need to use mortar. Any other tips would be appreciated Thanks |
