The garage doors that you've pictured are very pricy and probably more than an entire "moderate" budget.

Also, enclosing the carport will create a structure the dominates the home because of it's position in front of the house. I would recommend not doing the project at all, or saving more money to address the issue in a major way, perhaps moving it, or going for an all glass enclosure ala the famous Ferrari garage from Ferris Bueller.

You might explore using polycarbonate greenhouse panels instead of glass to reduce costs and increase the design flexibility and just save up for the fancy garage doors.

Thank you for the response. I also thought that putting a garage out front would dominate the house, but I was hoping to find a design that would at least be in harmony with the house.

I hesitate to increase my garage budget because I could not recoup a large expenditure on a garage in resale value. I know that resale value is not everything, but I can't afford to disregard it on an expenditure that large.

I have no idea about cost, but they are a large manufacturer of residential doors and that line looks a lot like your inspiration.

Other than that, I would match the brick of the house,(or is that siding on the recessed entry?) if I could, and do ribbon windows facing the walkway
