Removing Precast Fireplace Mantel

Hi. The previous owners of my home installed one of those fake gothic precast fireplace mantels.

Does anyone have experience installing/removing them?

There were 2 toed in deck screws on opposite corners, but those are the only fastners I can find. I am guessing maybe they caulk/glued it in?

I would love to remove it in tact and give/sell it to someone since it looks brand new, but, right now the only thing I can think of is to take a sledge hammer to it ;(

"precast" from what?

If it is plaster I would expect some other fasteners have been used and the screw heads covered over.

Unless is is very valuable, probably demo time.

Iv'e spent countless hours meticulously removing intact something I thought I was going to reuse only to ask myself years latter what was I thinking and cart it off to the dump after a few yard sales.
What are you going to use it for if you save it? Not everyday someone is looking for a Gothic precast fireplace mantel. I'm with brickeyee.
