Closet sliding door size

Hi,
We have a closet into which we'll install mirror sliders... This is important since we cant shave them upon receipt unlike wood...

Rough opening is 78 1/2". 2" shorter than the common 80 1/2". How high to order the doors?

I was thinking... 5/8" for the wood jamb on the top leaves me at 77 7/8".

1/4" strip of plywood under the bottom track to boost it up just a hair off the concrete takes it down to 77 5/8" finished height.

Then an extra 1/8" just in case, which can always be shimmed down from the top if not needed.

So 77 1/2"? Any other ideas?

Also I was planning to put this in before carpeting... and let them carpet up to the 1/4" wood strip. That sound good, or would you hold till carpet is in first?

Thanks!
