Our Colonial Makeover

We found a jewel in a rare pier and beam very well built colonial with great symmetry, 3 fireplaces, balconies and more.

Below is our journey including all floors in the house, all interior paint, restoration of all exterior wood and paint, all lighting int and ext, kitchen, theater and backyard.

A special point on the floor... We pulled up carpet to find gorgeous 2X5 tongue and groove subfloor in literally every square inch of the house- about 5300.

Several people told us " you cannot use subfloor as the floor". But we loved the aged and warm look more than any new stuff you can buy. I couldn't bring myself to put wood on top of wood- especially wood this thick and nice. We found a guy that was confident he could make them gorgeous and they did!

Lesson learned- go with your gut. If you don't you will always wonder what if.

*Shutters, lanterns, and paint have been done to the front. All that is left is a cupola above garage and landscaping

New counters and appliances are next
