Your structural engineer will be familiar with your climate and soils conditions and be able to tell you the answer to your questions as well as prepare the documents that you will need to file with your permit office.

Permits? Where I'm at only electrical is inspected not a good policy just the way it is. I understand it should be engineered with soil testing by an engineer just trying to get some ideas maybe someone had a similar situation my guess is it's gonna have to be iron with steel posts transferred to a Pyle or footing
