My kitchen is four bare walls, and the drywall patching and mudding has been completed. The exisitng walls in the same space have very minimal texturing, almost like a sanded-down orange peel.

My drywaller did not do any texturing and said that I or my painter needed to be responsible for the sanding and getting the walls paint ready.

Is this typical? I paid the General $950 for the drywall work and am waiting for a call back.
