Hi

I am new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help me with a current kitchen project I'd like to complete?

Right now I have light oak cabinets (kinda like honey oak)

I'd like to do a vanilla color with a chocolate glaze.

I bought some primer and paint (satin) had some glaze mixed with a dark brown color and tried a trial run on a scrap door.

Not sure what I did wrong but it seems very matte to me, I'd like a sheen on the door for durability so I am wondering should I go with different products or another method to complete it?

Please recommend and guide me in the process, this is my first time and I'd like to do a good job :)
