| I have removed old wallpaper in my kitchen and am planning on painting. On one of the corners near the cabinets, the original mud covering the metal corner piece over the sheetrock came off with the wallpaper. Should I patch the mud (leaving what remained on the corner piece and just adding to it) or should I go ahead and remove all the old mud and put new? I've included an image of the area. |

| If the old mud is still stuck on well, you can just float the new coat right over it. |
