Hi there:

I'm about to undertake a kitchen remodel and wanted to get some opinions on layout.

Scenario:
-I'm knocking down a wall to open up the space and proposing to put in a 6' island with seating on one side.
-The remaining space is 154" x 99" "L" configuration.

My questions:
-would a 36" range/cooktop "oversized" for this kitchen? I've been going w/ a 30" range/cooktop and 36" hood but debating whether to 'bite the bullet' and go 36". Reason: i want more burners for flexibility. But realistically�I know I'd rarely use all of them.
-In the "upper right" is a window that is slightly below counter height (therefore no cabinets). What should I do in this space? There's a dining room to the upper left already and I'm planning seating on the island.
-Should the island be larger or is 6' sufficient?
-33" for 36" cabinet for sink?

I'd welcome any other opinions or thoughts regarding layout :)�as you can tell I'm really new at this. Thanks!
