Staircase Remodel- Need Advice

Hi All,

I putting in new carpet on my staircase but I don't want to have it rollover the ends like in the photos. I can't afford an all wood staircase but I would like wood end treads and moldings. Does anyone have any design ideas or pictures???? I would like to keep things on the modern side. Thanks!!!

You could have the stairs carped to the edge and then just put the white mouldings like what i see in the background along the edges.

You can purchase a "false tread trim kit" or "tread end cap kit" that'll add wood to the outer 5" of so of each riser and tread.

Or you can fabricate your own.
