Thanks! Rockybird. I always wanted to have beam ceiling. I thought that would be a way to add character to new addition. I didn't wanna have a new room looking like a box.

We are going for updated look but still traditional with characters. We will keep all the details like moldings and trims. It's a small house with a lot of original details intact. I don't really wanna strip down the charm.
