We live in the southwest where it is very common to have tile in the living areas. Our new house has carpet in the living room and hallway and we plan to rip it out and put down wood look tile.

The laundry room (entry way from the garage into the house) and hall bath already have tile that is in good shape. It's a very neutral grayish white color. In order to save some money, would it be possible to lay the wood look tile up against the bath and laundry room tile? I've seen tile laid right next to wood floors and it looks fine so I'd assume the same for the wood look tile.
