"fake" window

I'm trying to decide what to do with this window. Should I make it a working window? We have 4 long windows across the front of our Acadian style house. One of the windows is on the other side of a bathroom shower. Before putting up drywall, blinds were placed in the window. I don't like the idea of a "fake" window. It is approximately 34x64, so it is pretty large. I don't really like the idea of a window in my shower either though. I would put a shade of course. We will be remodeling that bathroom and removing the tub surround to replace with tile. Ideas?

in my opinion windows and shower do not go together.

A window in a shower just needs to be detailed properly. It helps if the window is not in the direct spray of the shower head.

One option is to use a fiberglass fixed or awning type window with a stone sill and extension jambs. The window can be ordered with frosted or another type of translucent glass.

In the end, if you don't like the window you can add interior shutters. It also helps to have a good exhaust fan switched with the shower light.
