looking for: bh&g cookie for christmas

I am looking for a recipe that has a strusel-type nut filling and is rolled into a pinwheel. I remember making them for my Mom who died in '92, so the magazine was probably '89, '90 or '91. The recipe was not in the monthly magazine but in one of their special holiday issues. Will appreciate. Thanks.

Did it have dates as well as nuts? According to the comments, this is an old BHG recipe.

You might ask on the forums at BH&G.

Thanks for the links, Ginger. The date filled recipe wasn't the one, however, I did find a similiar recipe on the BHG site. It's for Black Walnut Pinwheels. I will try it out -- I foraged about 70 pounds of black walnuts in the fall.
Thanks again.

Ada
