| I make a poor mans fruit cake every year and we always ate ours spread with butter. I am looking for something new to give along with them as gifts. Something sweet and cinnamony maybe? Basic ingredients in the cake are raisins, cinnamon and cloves. Thanks a bunch.

| That might be a bit much cinnamon & any kind of flavored butter would have to be refrigerated. Could you just glaze the fruitcake instead? |

| No glaze, I wanted the butter to give along with the cake when I delivered them. Slices spread with plain butter and a cup of coffee are to die for!! LOL I thought something a little fancy would dress it up a bit and make a nice gift. Of course the butter would be wrapped in wax paper and kept in fridge until gift giving day. It tastes on the lines of a spice cake...maybe a walnut butter of some sort... |

| How about a honey butter? I did a quick search at allrecipes and there's several there, including one with cinnamon. Becky |
