I just saw a recipe in Taste of Home for Lemon Rosemary Cake (with a lemony cream cheese frosting) and wondered if anyone here has ever tasted this cake or made it. I'm not wild about rosemary (it calls for 1 tsp of minced fresh rosemary) and I wonder if this strong herb might overpower the fresh lemon flavor. I might just make the cake and not add the rosemary since I love lemon and cream cheese. But I was curious.

Just my opinion but I can't picture the rosemary adding anything to a good lemon cake. Here's a link to one of my favorite threads with lots of lemon goodies. Maybe you can find an alternative there.

Wow! I'd forgotten about that marathon thread on lemon recipes. Thanks for the link and for your opinion re: putting rosemary in a lemon cake. I think I'll leave it out since the cake itself looks wonderful. I'm also going to make lemon curd for the first time thanks to the huge lemon thread...and the lemon spaghetti and the strudel, etc., :)
