I was recently on vacation and stopped at The Towne Tavern for dinner in Sand Lake, NY. They were serving a Cherry Plains Chowder that night, which was a cross between a New England Clam Chowder and a Manhattan clam chowder. It was absolutely devine!
I have tried contacting The Towne Tavern via their web site for their recipe with no luck. Short of making a batch of New England Clam Chowder and a batch of Manhattan clam chowder and mixing the two together, does anyone out there have a recipe that might be similar to what I am looking for?
