| I just bought a house with a very big Tangerine tree. I was told they will become of season around October or November. I want to make sure that I am ready for them.
Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for all these Tangerines I will have? Thank you in advance. |

| oh wow! lucky you! i just know i'd be making that tangerine curd recipe and mixing it with creme fraiche! whisk the 2 recipes together and put the resulting mix together into wine glasses and freeze a little while, or place them between VERY crisp cookies ala barbara 52's frozen ice cream sandwiches!!! | Segments from tangerines could substitute for the canned ones. The lemon juice keeps it from being cloying sweet. Mandarin Orange Jello 3 oz. pkg. orange jello 1 c. apricot nectar 2-11 oz. cans mardarin oranges, drained Dissolve jello in boiling water. Chill til thickened somewhat. **************** Tangerine Oatmeal Loaf (Sunset) 1 c. boiling water 1 1/2 Tbsp. grated tangerine rind 2 c. each flour & rolled oats Combine boiling water, dates & butter in mixing bow.. Allow to cool. Greased & floured 9 x 5 loaf pan |

| I also use the segments, cut in half, in cold slaw with a sweet/sour mayo dressing. |
