RECIPE: Sesame Broccoli Salad

I recently made this recipe and liked it. I used low sodium soy sauce. Next time I'm going to try the sauce with green beans.

Sesame Broccoli Salad

2 Tbsps soy sauce
2 Tbsps rice vinegar
2 Tbsps sesame oil
2 Tbsps honey
12 cups broccoli florets (from 2 large bunches)
1/2 cup sesame seeds

Whisk soy sauce, vinegar, oil and honey in large bowl until blended. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Steam broccoli florets until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Cool.

Stir sesame seeds in heavy large skillet over medium heat until golden, about 5 minutes. Transfer to small bowl; cool.

Mix broccoli and half of sesame seeds into dressing. Let marinate at room temperature at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours, tossing ocasionally. Transfer broccoli to platter. Pour dressing over. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds.

Thank you for sharing this recipe. I was browsing through here yesterday and had all the ingredients, so thought I would give it a try. I made this for my mother and I and we both thought it was very good! I scaled it down, since it is only the two of us.

I'll be making this again - it made a nice side dish for these hot summer nights! :)
