LOOKING for: Presentation ideas for pretty salads

Hello, I'm having my best friend over for a simple patio dinner.

Simply, pleasant friends chatting along with a pitcher of Sangria and a Dried Cranberry Chicken Salad with hot bread and a few fresh fruits on the side of the plate.

I would appreciate your ideas on a lovely way to serve/present chicken salad. I've done Cantaloupe boats in the past but I am looking for something just as pretty but a little bit different.

Thanks for sharing, Donna

I would just put it on a lettuce leaf...perhaps a red lettuce leaf to go with the cranberries.
you could cut a giant tomato flower and put the chicken in there, but the color would fight with the cranberrys and I like that better with crab salad.
you could make mini bread bowls, that's pretty and you have your crusty bread already on the plate.

Layer it in a clear glass trifle type bowl with fresh spinach leaves. Or pile it on raw spinach leaves on a white platter.

I'd put the salad in individual clear martini/margarita glasses lined with the lettuce of your choice. The glasses could be sitting on a smaller serving plate with fresh cranberries scattered about. Sounds like a very nice way to spend time with friends. NancyLouise

Linda,
How do you make the mini bread bowls? I think that is a great idea.
