LOOKING for: How to cook fresh English peas

I have a lot of fresh English (green) peas from the garden and am hoping some of you great cooks can tell me how you cook them and how your family likes them cooked. I also have a lot of fresh herbs: basil, thyme, tarragon, parsley, and sage.

Thanks so much in advance.

I boil them, drain, and serve hot with butter. It's almost as good as corn that way. It only takes a minute or two - you don't want them to come out mushy.

You could make a shepherd's pie

One of my favorite dishes with lots of peas in it is matar paneer (peas and homemade cheese curry).

There are any number of recipes online for various types of herbed peas and pea salads, if you just google those terms.

Enjoy your fresh peas!

Boil (barely blanch), pinch of salt and when serving add black pepper and butter.. They are also delicious cooked in a white sauce with tiny pearl onions.
