Does anyone remember the recipe for Tahitian Treat ice cream that was popular in the 70's/80's? Seems like it was 1 large bottle Tahitian Treat + 1 can sweetened condensed milk + enough regular milk to fill the churn. Please help!

There's a recipe on the last post at the forum below. 3 Liters of Tahitian Treat Soda (hard to find unless you are in the south. If you can't find it, sub. for Sunkist or Welch's Strawberry or Fruit Punch) Open Soda a few hours ahead of preparation to let it ''flatten'' out, this will help you get all 3 liters in without it fizzing over. Put Sweetened Condensed Milk in ice cream freezer first, then add all three liters of soda (take your time). Follow your normal procedure for adding ice and rock salt, let run about 45 minutes in the ice cream maker.

What exactly does "Tahitian Treat" soda taste like? Sounds very intriguing!

Thanks for the help! For starlightfarm: Tahitian Treat was put out by Canada Dry and tasted like a carbonated fruit punch and was red in color. It was very good and made an unusual ice cream that kids and adults adored. My daughter says it's still available at some stores and she's determined to revisit her childhood. I don't know as I haven't seen it in years.
