I was boilong peanuts when I asked the boiled peanut question. What I meant was beer boiled shrimp, so heres the question..........

I want to beer boil some SHRIMP and I want them hot/spicy/cajun style. Most of the recipes I find on the internet say use 1 or 2 cans of beer for 2 pounds of SHRIMP. Are they forgeting to say water also? 2 pounds of SHRIMP cannot be boiled in 1 or 2 cans of beer, right??

Ok?.... What would the process be for steaming spicy/cajun style shrimp. Boiling beer along with hot sauce or spices something?

I believe if you put 2 pounds of shrimp into a pan and add 2 cans of beer, the shrimp will be pretty well covered.
