RECIPE: bridesmaid salad

My neighbor gave us this recipe and we made it for a baby shower this past week-end. It got rave reviews!
Easy, and makes a beautiful presentation.

2 packages of frozen strawberries (10 oz.size)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 8 oz. container of Cool Whip
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
2 & 1/2 cups of colored mini marshmallows
1/2 cup toasted, chopped nuts (optional)

Partially thaw the berries.
Use a 12 cup container/bowl and add the milk, Cool Whip, pineapple & marshmallows, and mix well.
Freeze until solid.
Take from the freezer about an hour before serving, and sprinkle with the nuts if you like.

Have copies on hand of the recipe because you will be asked for it! LOL

Sounds nice and sweet and cold - I had "frozen fruit salad" when I was in Louisiana and I think its like this - quite yummy! Thanks for the recipe Lizzy.

That does sound good and refreshing, it has been so "hot and humid" the last couple of weeks. Might be a good fruit salad for Fathers Day.
Thank you.

Lizzynola - thanks so much for posting this. My Mom will love this and I'll be making it for her as soon as she returns from vacation.

RE: RECIPE: bridesmaid salad

Do you have to set this out awhile before serving. Do you serve it with an ice cream scoop? Or do you individually freeze servings in the aluminum cupcake papers?
