RECIPE: Looking: overnight chicken casserole

many years ago (mid 60's) my mom made a chicken casserole

that had chicken, raw spaghetti and evaporated milk in it.

you put everything in a loaf pan and let it stand overnight in the fridge, then the next day you baked it. she used to serve it to the bridge group for lunch. if we were lucky, there'd be some leftovers for dinner that night.

does any one know this recipe?

This one does not have evaporated milk in it.
OVERNIGHT CHICKEN/MACARONI CASSEROLE

2 c. uncooked macaroni
2 c. milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can mushrooms
2 c. diced, cooked chicken
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 sm. can pimento
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed

Mix all ingredients together. Put into a large casserole and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator. Top with buttered bread crumbs, crushed potato chips, or Chinese noodles. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 10- 12.

Ginger, interesting that you found the recipe at bigoven.com.
Lately I have found some good recipes there and wondered why I had never surfed it before. That chicken casserole sounds like comfort food to me....maybe when the weather is cooler.

Teresa, that site comes up frequently in searches. I've sort of avoided until lately because I was a bit afraid of junk put on my computer but it seems OK.
