| I went to Tyrone Elementary School, St Pete FLA, 1962--1966...and they served us a dish that was chicken over rice...I can't remember too well. My older sis says it was a yellow rice...that's all She remembers.
Anyone out there have any ideas what I'm trying to describe? It was served a lot, I remember...Oh, and thanks to all for "potato turbate"...THAT brought back a LOT of memories...all good ones! |

| Yeah, cuffs054...that's how I found this website!:) I'm trying to put together a recipe book with all the recipes that I enjoyed over the years. Mrs. Boyer, the head cook at Tyrone Elementry gave my mom this recipe...she lost it when we moved up here to the Toledo, OH area. She tried to make it with beef gravy, flour, italian seasoning and butter...and it never tasted rite! Now, my sister and i can make it right...God bless mrs. Boyer, where ever She is! |
