When we lived in the city, we lived beside an elderly Ukrainian couple. Tina used to make the bestest fruit chili sauce. She always canned lots for family and friends. I had always meant to get the recipe from her but they moved away before I could get it. I believe the chili sauce had plums and some tropical fruits in it. Anyone know of a recipe for a fruit chili sauce to can? Marg

What a shame. I'm so glad a friend of mine took notes while an Italian neighbor made her canned antipasto. I wonder if a chutney recipe might be adapted. Substituting plums for mangos, or using a combo.

That sounds delicious! I'll have to make some. The one I was hoping to find was one made with more tropical fruits. I remember that the salsa they made containd peaches, mangoes and, I think, papayas. It was great with seafood. Thanks for the help. Marg
