RECIPE: Salmon Chowder

I lost my favorite Salmon Chowder Recipe. It is a white chowder, but I recall that it does not have a lot of different vegetables in it (no carrots). Does anyone have a favorite recipe to share?

RE: RECIPE: Salmon Chowder

I got this recipe from another site. I have not tried it yet but will soon.

Salmon Chowder

1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped Onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
3 tablespoons butter
14 1/2ounces chicken broth
1 cup diced potatoes
1 cup shredded carrots
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
14 3/4 ounces cream corn
2 cups half and half
14 3/4 ounces canned salmon, drained, skinned and deboned
1 clove minced garlic

In a large saucepan, saute celery, onion, green pepper, butter and garlic until tender.

Add broth, potaoes, carrots, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer 40 minutes or until vegetables are near tender.

Stir in cream corn, half and half and salmon.

Simmer 15 more minutes or until heated through.
