RECIPE: Drop Sugar Cookies

Posted by carmellia (My Page) on

I just bought a tray of the best sugar cookies I have ever tasted at a garage sale. The woman having the sale was selling them for her mother who takes special orders for them and will not give out the recipe.

They are a drop cookie, not rolled out. They are very buttery and sugary, and they seem to be light and dense at the same time. They just melted in my mouth. From the texture of the top of the cookie I would guess it is a very stiff dough. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I have never thought of a sugar cookie as a treat before, but these are fantastic. I have already eaten all six.
