LOOKING for: chocolate and peanut butter cookies, squares?

livvyandbella

I will be leaving Thursday to visit twin grandsons. One of them wanted the oreo truffles. I will do that. The other one would like something that has peanut butter and chocolate. What recipe can you share that has chocolate and peanut butter? Cookies, squares, etc.
Thank you,
Barb

If you decide to try it, do let us know how it turns out.

Here is one that I have made and is soooo good.

    CHOCO-KRISPY-PEANUT BUTTER FLUFF CAKE

1 box cake mix any flavor you wish and mix according to directions
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (18 oz.) peanut butter
    3 c. Rice Krispies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Follow the instructions on cake box mix. Pour half of batter in 9 x 13 pan and use rest of batter to make cupcakes. Bake cake for about 20 minutes or till done.
After 20 minutes or so spread marshmallows on baked cake, then bake for another 3 minutes until marshmallow looks fluffed. Remove from oven - cool for 1/2 hour.

Melt on low heat one 12 ounce package chocolate chips. Add one 18 ounce jar peanut butter and 3 cups Rice Krispies. Stir. Spread on cooled baked cake. Chill for 1 hour then serve.

I'm not a fan of peanut butter but these cookies were a big hit when I made them.

inside is still chewy. Do not over bake. Cool five minutes on rack and
then remove from tins. Cool completely.

    Filling

Combine chocolate, cocoa, milk and butter in small saucepan. Melt over low
heat. Mix until smooth. Cool. Beat in icing sugar to give consistencey of
icing. Pipe about 1 tablespoon of filling into each tart.

Note: YOu can spoon the filling in to the centre, but it looks nicer when
    piped.

I love Ann T's peanut butter cookie tarts. Yum.

My girls really like this, it's fast and easy:

    PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE SQUARES

    1 c. sugar
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 c. peanut butter
    5-6 c. Rice Krispies
    1 bag chocolate chips or
1 cup each chocolate and butterscotch chips

Mix sugar and corn syrup in a large sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir peanut butter into mixture until melted. Add rice krispies and stir until well coated.

Press firmly into 9x13 inch pan. Melt chips and spread over bars, chocolate will set as bars cool.

Note: The less cereal you add the more "gooey" the bars will be. My girls like them really gooey.)

Last Friday at work I had a really good chocolate and peanut butter bar cookie. Today I found out it is a mix - Eagle Brand Milk? I didn't know they had mixes, but it was really good. We were asking for the recipe, it was that good.
