RECIPE: chocolate and marshmallow cream in compote dish?

A friend of mine makes a dessert that has chunks of chocolate and marshmallow cream (or maybe it's cool whip) and I think there is chunks of chocolate cake all in a compote dish and then topped with strawberries. It's such a pretty dish to take places, but she's on vacation and I don't want to bother her. Does anyone have a recipe similar to this. I'd like to make it for a dinner party tomorrow night.

Sounds like a trifle to me. here are as many "recipes" as there are ways to mix and layer cake whipped cream, fruit, chocolate and pudding.
