BEEF BOULION OR SOUP BASE 1 C. BOILING WATER 1 C (6 OZ). TOMATO PASTE 3 T CHILI POWDER, LESS AS DESIRED 2 t BROWN SUGAR 2 T WORDHESTERSHIRE SAUCE 2 t GROUND CUMIN, FRESH IS BEST 1-2 t CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKES, OR AS DESIRED 1 T. SALT ½ t PEPPER 3 CANS (14 ½ OZ) STEWED TOMAOTES, CHOPPED W/ JOLORPAINO OR PLAIN AS DESIRED 2 CANS PINTO, BLACK OR NAVY BEANS, MIXED IF DESIRED RINSED SHREDDED CHEESE BROWN STEAK AND SAUSAGE, IN OLIVE OIL, DRAIN, PUT IN SLOW COOKER W/ WATER & SOUP BASE, OR USE BEEF BROTH TO COVER. BROWN ONIONS, IN SKILLET, TILL TENDER, ADD GARLIC, SAUTE , ADD TO MEATS. ADD TOMATO PASTE, CHILI POWDER, BROWN SUGAR, TOBASCO SAUCE, SEASONINGS, BEANS AND TOMAOTES. COVER, COOK SLOW UNTIL MEATS ARE TENDER. SERVE TOPPED W/ CHEESE, OR TOPPINGS OF YOU LIKING I LIKE TO PUT RICE UNDER, TOPPED CHEESE, ONIONS (GREEN OR ) , BEST SERVED NEXT DAY I MAKE A VEGETABLE CHILI W/ THIS ERCIPE, USING 3 BEANS, BLACK, PINTO AND CANNELINI, AND ADD JUST STEAMED ZUCHINI TO HOT CHILI WHEN SERVED, I LIKE CANNED BLACK BEANS SEASONED W/ CUMIN, OR COOK MY OWN ADDINF FRESH GROUND CUMIN WHEN COOKING This is also great w/ 3-4 kinds of beans, canned or home cooked. Served over rice of choice, topped w/ cheese, sour cream, chopped onions or green onios. W/ side dishes of choice. Vangy won a contest w/ the original recipe which I have tweeked from a Taste Of Home recipe I love to experiment and most of my recipes come direct from the Holy Spirit. The best "cook book" I have ever used. |
