LOOKING for: A good authentic Steak Pizzaiola

Can someone share a T&T recipe for this I found several version during a search and they are varing....My Italian SIL says her aunts always made it with CHUCK low & slow oppose to the more expensive steaks unfortunately they are all dead and took there recipes with them. TIA

STEAK ALA PIZZAOLI


2 IBS BONELESS SIRLOIN STEAK 2" THICK

1 LARGE CAN WHOLE TOMATOES WITH BASIL

3 LARGE CLOVES GARLIC CHOPPED

SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

1 TBSP OREGANO OR ITALIAN SEASONING

2 TBSP OLIVE OIL

PARMESAN AND MOZZARELLA SHREDDED CHEESE TO YOUR LIKING

PRE HEAT OVEN TO 350

CUT STEAK INTO INCH STRIPS AND TRIM FAT

PLACE STEAK STRIPS INTO BAKING DISH

POUR TOMATOES OVER MEAT ( ELLIE CHOPPED UP TOMATOES)

ADD GARLIC SALT, PEPPER AND OREGANO AND STIR

DRIZZLE OLIVE OIL OVER TOP COVER WITH FOIL AND BAKE 1 HR

REMOVE FOIL STIR AND RECOVER AND BAKE FOR AN OTHER HOUR.

SPRINKLE PARM & MOZZARELLA CHEESE OVER THE TOP LAST 5 MIN.

SERVE OVER PASTA
