| I am looking for a oil and vinegar dressing just using garlic, sugar, s&p, spices I have searched the net for recipes and most of them have ingredients I don't keep in the house (lemon, honey, etc.) (I don't want to use ingredients I don't keep in the house) I need measurements because I have just recently been making my own dressing. When I use the packaged Good Seasons it is much tastier than what I have made.
Thanks,

| Here's a good one: CREAMY MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE DRESSING 1/3 c. olive oil In small bowl with wire whisk or fork mix all ingredients. I use a small jar with cover and shake the ingredients. |

| If you make your own dressing, it would be worth while to buy some of the ingredients... The basic Oil and vinegar dressing is 1/4 cup of something sour....vinegar of some sort or lemon juice or another citrus....and 1/2 cup of oil...I like olive oil...s and P to taste. Some like sugar....some add mustard and some add herbs. If you like good seasons, you must like a salty dressing with very little sugar....that right? Any dressing will only be as good as the ingredients....good oil and a lovely champagne vinegar makes a good dressing. |

| Why not experiment? Make a small portion of the basic vinagrette, and add what you have on hand to see what you like. Balsamic vinegar or rice vinegar adds a lovely flavor to oil and vinegar dressings, I think. |
