I recently saw a quite lengthy post that went into much detail about different eras of home building - houses built better in the early 1900's, then some decline after WW11, and descriptions of each decade of home building and what to expect, etc. as far as strength of the 2 x 4's, quality of building materials, etc.

I can't remember the name of the thread. It was very interesting and I wish I had printed off this post when I saw it - it was written by a RE agent, I believe, and would be very helpful when I decide to go house-hunting.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd sure appreciate it if someone could help me with this. Thanks!
