property that was a foreclosure that's being flipped

Wondering what I might need to be aware of in this case. This would be weekend lake home - replacing one we currently have. The house was build in 2008 and foreclosed in 2012, purchased in 2013 fixed up and now for sale. Exterior restained, interior painted, new cabinets and appliances, lower level finished off and a few other things that seem to be mostly cosmetic. From everything I can tell the work that's been done doesn't seem to have been done on the cheap. The property is in an area of more expensive homes and they seem to have done it nicely to attract a higher end buyer (at least high end for this kind of remote area).

I just wonder how much neglect may have occurred that has now been nicely covered up with fresh stain, paint, etc. Of particular concern is that the exterior is half log siding. I realize that I'd need to have these things inspected by someone competent to do so but also wondering in general what to look out for.
