Fed Signals It Will Stop Buying Government Debt in October

TAKE NOTE!!! This *OFFICIALLY* marks the immediate absolute "BOTTOM" on the downward rate trend since the late 1970's and the now lifetime lows on longterm fixed mortgage interest rates. If YOU haven't got yours taken care of... this is "Last Call."

What about on adjustable? I'm in the process of trying to sell my home and have an adjustable home equity. I don't want to go to the expense of getting a fixed mortgage. The adjustable is at 3.4%, a bargain for the past year.

    What about the adjustable rates?

    Hi Jane,
Adjustables dance to a slightly different market... and most likely they'll be low for a few more years (if not a Japanese-style zero-interest decade.)
