I don't quilt but I read the postings here. Maybe someday I will try.
But I was at the hospital while my Great Grand Daughter was being born.
While waiting a Grandson had my 8 month old Great Grand Son with him. He was getting a bit fussy so I took him for a walk up and down the halls.
The birthing area has pictures of newborns on all of the walls. But I stopped at one and saw something precious to see. There was a picture of a woman maybe in her 80s or 90s with a baby held close. She had wire rimmed glasses on and here eyes were shut. Her hair was in a bun and she had no makeup on. She was beautiful and you could see the tenderness. There was a tattered quilt that looked like it was probably a toy baby quilt. It was little tiny squares in all kinds of colors. Enclosed was a pair of crocheted booties and I thought they were for the baby she was holding. It was in memory of this lady..
I just thought some of you might like so know about it.
