Old marking pen

My daughter is quilting her first quilt ( she tied the last two she made). She used an old blue marking pen and we are having trouble getting the marks out. Any suggestions on how to get it out or hide the lines? Thank you.

If you have ironed the marks they will be difficult to get out. Spritzing with water seems to work better than wetting them. Also try a bit of oxyclean when you wash the first time and don't put it in the dryer if the marks are still there, the heat can set the marks.

Thanks Beverly. I'll try the spritzing. I didn't think about oxyclean. I'll let you know how it turns out.
