squaring up disappearing nine patch

I have my first block sewed together. Do I square this block up now or cut it into the 4 pieces and sew them back together and then square it up. The block is off just a tiny bit.

This works for me as the block is now 14" square and I do not have a ruler large enough with the diagonal line large enough to square up a block this size.

I would cut then square it up.

As I don't consider it a finished block until it is cut and resewn I would wait.MHO

I square up the 4 pieces to make sure they're all the same size then sew them together. I'm in the process of making one, too.

I have decided I will sew the 4 pieces together and then square up. I guess there is no right or wrong way to do this as long as each block comes out square in the end.
