Sloped Machine Front

My new sewing machine has a curved/ sloped front. The extension table has the same slope. It is driving me Crazy!!!
For those of you who have that design, will I get used to it???? (it is comfy.)
or should Mrs Claus order a normal flat extension table?

For instance - I have been making binding this weekend for 4 quilts - line up the ends to sew the diagonal - let go -- look away,
move my chair, get my hair outta my eyes -- whatever-- the pieces slip down the slope like a skier......ugh! Same thing happens on whatever I prepare to sew-slips down the front slope. I know many machine have this sleek design - do you like it? Did it take you long to adjust? or Maybe you never noticed the slippery slope - hahaha -
I see where this slope would be very desirable for clothing construction-but (I think) this quilter need a nice flat surface.
I can easily sew on almost no surface - My white Featherweight I take to Retreat has a 4" surface -- it is Flat!
My 301 has a small extension surface-also flat.

Do you like your comfy sloped front & extension tables?
