Two hour tablerunner

I got this kit last year at the LQS for a "two hour table runner". More like 6 hours, when you add in cutting the fabric strips, sewing Flip and Sew method (someone faster than I am could do it in 2 hours, but I had to rip stuff out and went to the iron every few strips to keep it from getting too wonky), then squaring up and binding. But it still was a fairly quick gift and everything was in the kit, top, backing, binding, I only had to add batting. I'll probably make more of these. They have kits for all the seasons. I only added a little quilting to the center as it seemed a little naked.

I love your fabrics!!! You did a great job it looks perfect. I made a Christmas table runner and it doesn't lay flat. I have things sitting on it but after the holidays I'm going to use it as a practice piece for FMQ.

After I squared it up it was about 16.5" x 42-ish". I used WOF for the backing and trimmed off the edges.

Very cute. I've always thought flip and sew sounded time consuming, but if you are afraid of machine quilting it's one way to finish a quilt.

This was the first quilt I ever made in my first class at my LQS. It was so easy I've made about a dozen for gifts at Christmas, birthdays etc. I love to change my runners for all the seasons and holidays too!!
