| I dropped everything and threw this together (as you can see!) because I liked the concept and wanted to try it. Nest time I'll make the background an inch or so narrower than the squares in the corners. These corner squares were 8 1/2" so I'd make the squares to slice about 7" X 8 1/2" which would give a narrower path. All in all, I like it. I've had the flowery squares for awhile so I'm counting this as a completed UFO...it's boxed up ready to send as a donation.

Very pretty, Sharon! So the square in a square blocks were the corners of your nine patch? Donna

Yes, Donna, that is correct. I got the idea from Sue who posted the I Spy quilt she did at Camp Cheerio. SharonG/FL

What an interesting idea. I never thought of that. Good job. Isn't it good to cross off a UFO?

Very nice! I'm putting that one on the ever-growing list.

I love it! Great idea that I'm gonna save it also! I must admit, I don't quite understand what you are saying here... TFS!

Bee, The four outside slicing units would be 7" x 8 1/2" and the center would be 7" square to fit against the 7" X 8 1/2" pieces. I don't know that it would be necessary if using smaller sized blocks. I just thought, in this case, it might look a bit better. SharonG/FL

That is cool. I had not thought to do one that way either. Jackie
